Katz Signs Deal for Lightbridge Academy in Elmsford, NY opening Mid-2020
Englewood, NJ, September 9, 2019 – Brian Katz, CEO of Katz & Associates, is pleased to announce that Lightbridge Academy has signed a 15-year lease plus options in at 35 Valley Avenue, Elmsford, New York. Scott Sher represented Lightbridge Academy and David Scotto from RM Friedland represented the landlord. The 9,595 square foot ground floor space will include an outdoor play area at the base of a new construction residential building set to open mid-2020. Lightbridge is actively looking for sites in Westchester with 10,000 sf on grade and 4,000 to 5,000 sf of outdoor playground space.
“It’s exciting to be a part of the expansion of such an amazing childcare concept. The Elmsford location is ideal for Lightbridge Academy with its terrific demographics and easy accessibility,” said Scott Sher. “The brand is certain to have long term success not only at this location but throughout the county where we are looking to open several more locations.”
Established in 1997, Lightbridge Academy provides early education and child care to children ages six weeks through kindergarten, as well as special programming for children up to 10 years old during school holidays, breaks and summer camp. The company franchised in 2011 in an effort to expand their distinctive concept throughout the Northeast; it currently has over 100 child care centers either open, under construction or in development throughout Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
